Start with the charming canal district, the Town Hall Square, Christiansborg Castle, seat of government, Kongens Nytorv Squarewhere the Royal Theater is located, the picturesque Nyhavn district, canal which penetrates to the heart from the chic district of the city (on the quays, there are still old colorful merchants' houses and Andersen lived there at number 67), the Amalienborg castle, residence of the royal family...
Also admire the superb Gefion fountain and pay a visit to the “Little Mermaid” sitting at the water's edge on her block of granite, gazing out to sea.
