From Bucharest to Dubrovnik, this 8–day journey blends grand capitals, medieval gems and landscapes. Kick off with a panoramic spin around Bucharest – think the Palace of the Parliament and the old quarter – before crossing the Carpathians into Transylvania. You’ll visit Peles gardens, Bran’s legendary fortress and UNESCO listed Sighisoara and Biertan, then wander Sibiu and imposing Hunedoara Castle. Serbia brings Belgrade’s Kalemegdan Fortress and the Museum of Yugoslavia, while Sremska Mitrovica reveals Roman Sirmium. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, explore Sarajevo’s multifaith old town and Mostar’s iconic bridge. Wrap up on the Adriatic in Dubrovnik – monasteries and a hop to Lokrum, with free time to roam.

- Welcome to Bucharest. On arrival, we’ll transfer you to your hotel, where you’ll have time to settle in, and we’ll share details about the start of your tour. At 3.00 pm – after lunch – we take a panoramic tour of the city, including the historic quarter and the impressive Palace of the Parliament. After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace. Dinner is included. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
