ツアー概要
Fun, fun, fun, and happy days in Bhutan celebrating the religious festival of Tshechu (Dzongkha meaning "day ten") of the lunar Tibetan calendar, an annual religious Bhutanese event held in each district or Dzongkhag in Bhutan. Tshechus are religious festivals of the Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. The event corresponds with the birthday of the famous Buddhist sage Guru Rinpoche (Guru Padmasambhava).
Tshechus are marvelous events where the entire community comes together to witness religious mask dances, receive blessings, and meet people. Tshechus also include colorful Bhutanese dances and various other forms of entertainment. It is held that everyone must attend a Tshechu and witness the mask dances at least once in order to receive blessings and wash away their sins. Each mask dance has a particular meaning or a story and many originate from stories and incidents from as far back as the 8th century during the lifetime of Guru Rinpoche.
The most popular festivals are Thimphu Festival, Paro Festival, Punakha Festival, and Bumthang Jamba Lhakhang Drup Festival. The Thimphu Tshechu and the Paro Tshechu are among the largest and attract the most people to the festival.
This is a fantastic holiday and chance to wash away your sins in a healthy-happy environment that is guaranteed to be fun.
