Nestled in the cool hills north of Lisbon, very close to the Atlantic Ocean, Sintra was a popular summer residence for the families of Portuguese monarchs and nobles. Several palaces and mansions have been built in this area, all in remarkable styles and colors. Together, these unique buildings and gardens form a “cultural landscape” and are part of the UNESCO World Heritage. On this hiking and cultural holiday, you will have the opportunity to visit the famous sights of the Sintra hills and enjoy coastal paths in the west of Cascais.

From Lisbon airport you can easily reach Sintra by public transport (approx. 1 hour), but we can also book a private cab transfer to take you to your Hotel Nova Sintra. This family-run hotel is located just outside Sintra's city center and has a quiet terrace with wonderful views of the city and hills and is ideally located opposite the train station and nearby restaurants.
Note: The reception of the first accommodation closes at 20h00. Please plan your arrival so that you arrive on time.
