Manaslu Circuit Trek 13 Days

This 13 day Manaslu Circuit Trek is within a well-preserved region of the Himalayan Mountains. Manaslu is known locally as "The Spirit-Mountain”. This trek will take you completely around the base of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), the 8th highest mountain in the world and has become nearly as popular as the Everest, Annapurna and Langtang treks. Trekkers have discovered this more far-off region and are now flocking to it. 

Larkya La Pass (5,106 m) is the highest point reached on this trek and will test your stamina and strength at this high altitude. This trek takes you close to the Nepal/Tibetan border where you will see evidence of the Tibetan Buddhist influence in the style of houses and villages. Along the trail there are regular signs of the Tibetan influence evidenced by the constant fluttering Tibetan prayer flags, Mani stones (engraved in Sanskrit mantras) and chortens. The trail takes us through the subtropical foothills of the Himalayas and up to the rugged and rocky terrain at the pass. One of the many highlights of this trek is the chance to witness the unique and uncomplicated lifestyle of the villagers in these secluded mountainous regions.

You can also add to this trek with a side-trip to Tsum Valley, where time has stood-still and century-old Tibetan customs are still practiced to this day.
