Fly on the wings of the Dragon to enchanting Bhutan! Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, breeze through immigration and exit through the single arrival gate, where the dedicated World Tour Plan team will warmly welcome you, holding clear placards so no one is missed.
Your unforgettable journey begins with a traditional greeting. Your guide will present you with a pristine white Khadar scarf, symbolizing goodwill and hospitality. Then, embark on a picturesque drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s vibrant capital, lasting about an hour and a half. Along the way, pause to admire the historic Tachogang Lhakhang, a serene temple steeped in culture.
Check into your hotel and relax or, time permitting, explore the charming streets of Thimphu. Experience the city’s unique tranquility, free from the chaos of traffic lights, and wander through lively local markets brimming with exquisite handicrafts, one-of-a-kind souvenirs, and imported treasures.
As evening falls, visit the magnificent Tashicho Dzong (open after 5 PM on working days). This 17th-century fortress is the majestic seat of His Majesty the King and the government secretariat. Marvel at the intricate artistry and craftsmanship that bring its walls to life. The evening offers a rare glimpse into Bhutan’s regal heritage.
