During the trekking, you’ll combine famous itineraries with uncharted routes, meeting interesting locals and tasting authentic Albanian traditions and food. The journey also includes visits to Tirana and Shkodra, offering a blend of local hospitality and culture. This immersive adventure promises raw and genuine experiences, connecting you with the traditions, daily life, and stories of remote communities. The tour begins in Tirana with a morning departure toward the historic town of Kruja, once the stronghold of Albania’s national hero, Skanderbeg. Visit the Kruja Castle and explore the Old Bazaar, a charming, cobbled street lined with traditional shops offering handicrafts, carpets, and antiques. After lunch, continue the journey north to Shkodra, a city rich in cultural and historical heritage. Upon arrival, settle into a boutique hotel near the Gjuhadol neighborhood. Later, take part in an orientation workshop to meet fellow travelers, learn about the tour values—community respect, cultural preservation, low-impact travel—and prepare for the days ahead. The day concludes with a welcome dinner featuring local cuisine.
