Choquequirao, once a refuge for the last Inca rulers after their defeat by the Spanish, offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the Inca civilization. Perched atop a hill, this sacred site was dedicated to the worship of Pachacutec, the greatest Inca ruler.
As you traverse this awe-inspiring trail, you’ll be surrounded by diverse ecosystems, exotic flora and fauna, and some of the most spectacular landscapes in Peru. Whether it’s the majestic peaks, lush valleys, or the ancient terraces, every step will bring you closer to a hidden treasure waiting to be explored.

日ごとの行程
- We’ll pick you up from your hotel at 5:30 a.m. and embark on a 4-hour drive to the town of San Pedro de Cachora, where we’ll have breakfast and meet the muleteers who will accompany us on the trek. From Capuliyoc, we’ll begin a 2-hour hike to the Abra of Capuliyoc (2,894 masl / 9,495 ft), where we’ll stop for lunch and enjoy stunning views of the Apurímac Canyon.
- After lunch, we’ll descend for approximately 3 hours to reach Chiquiska (1,900 masl / 6,234 ft), our first campsite, where a delicious dinner will be waiting for us.
